Hoffman suggests that the next generation of iconic AI companies may emerge from areas that most investors consider too complex, slow, or regulated to access—biology being one of them. He said, "I've been thinking, what can improve the human quality of life?"
Hoffman also stated that he does not believe artificial intelligence can independently design drugs. Instead, he said that AI tools can guide scientists in conducting the most promising experiments.
“Just make the prediction and make it right—by the way, it doesn’t have to be 100% right. You only need 1% accuracy, because you can verify the remaining 99%,” he said.
AI in healthcareHoffman made these remarks at a time when artificial intelligence is booming in the healthcare field. Cathie Wood, founder of Ark Investment and known as "Sister Wood," has also previously stated that a true AI revolution is taking place in hospitals and laboratories.
