On December 24, Ge Haijiao, Chairman of the Bank of China, and Hou Qijun, Chairman of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Sinopec"), held a working meeting in Beijing. Yang Jun, Vice President of the Bank of China, and Cai Yong, Chief Accountant of Sinopec, also participated in the event.

Ge Haijiao stated that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Central Economic Work Conference, focusing on "accelerating the construction of a new energy system," have outlined the direction for building a strong energy nation in the new era and on the new journey. Sinopec is a "vanguard" in ensuring national energy security and an important partner of Bank of China. For a long time, the two sides have achieved numerous "firsts," "largest deals," and "first transactions" in major projects, credit lines, deposits, and cross-border settlements, yielding significant results. Looking towards the "15th Five-Year Plan," Bank of China will resolutely implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee, continue to leverage its global advantages and comprehensive characteristics, coordinate domestic and international resources, and strengthen supply and demand matching, deepen interactive cooperation, and jointly expand business layout with Sinopec in various fields, injecting even more robust financial momentum into promoting the transformation and upgrading of the energy industry and building a strong energy nation.

Hou Qijun expressed his gratitude to the Bank of China for its long-term strong support for the development of Sinopec's business. He stated that Sinopec is thoroughly implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and directives, actively planning its "15th Five-Year Plan" development blueprint, and strengthening strategic transformation and development. The Bank of China is the most globalized and comprehensive state-owned commercial bank, and Sinopec has maintained a close, stable, and extensive cooperative relationship with it for a long time. He hoped that both sides would continuously strengthen strategic synergy, further enhance exchanges and cooperation in multiple fields, deepen mutual benefit and trust, and jointly achieve high-quality development in serving major national strategies.
