
On Thursday (December 11th) local time, Time magazine announced that the creators of AI have been selected as Time's Person of the Year for 2025. Time stated that this year marks the anniversary of artificial intelligence... This year marks the unleashing of our full potential, and its development trend is now an inevitable trend, touching every aspect of our lives.
The magazine's cover for its "Person of the Year" special issue features eight successful individuals seated on a steel beam suspended high in the air, against a backdrop of a city skyline. These eight AI leaders are: META CEO Mark Zuckerberg, AMD CEO Lisa Su, xAI founder Elon Musk, and Nvidia... CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Google's DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, and " AI guru" Fei-Fei Li.
Domestically, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-Level Meeting on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence opened in Shanghai on July 26. On the same day, the "2025 China AI Grand Ceremony," a major themed event on the development of the artificial intelligence industry hosted by China Media Group, was launched in Xuhui District, Shanghai.
The grand ceremony, themed "Interdependent with AI," unveiled 10 "AI Figures of the Year 2025." The selection process, open to the younger generation of AI pioneers, involved a recommendation committee comprised of over 100 authoritative experts, including academicians, scientists, economists, entrepreneurs, renowned investors, and editors-in-chief of mainstream media outlets.
The 10 "AI Figures of the Year 2025" are: Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Robotics; Chen Ning, chairman of CloudWalk Technology; Chen Weiliang, founder of Muxi; Zhang Peng, CEO of Zhipu; Zhou Jingren, CTO of Alibaba Cloud; Jiang Daxin, founder of Jieyue Xingchen; Xia Lixue, co-founder of Wuwen Cangqiong; Han Bicheng, founder of Qiangnao Technology; and Zhiyuan Robotics. Chief Technology Officer Peng Zhihui, 4Paradigm founder Dai Wenyuan (listed in order of surname stroke count), and Wang Xingxing, Xia Lixue, and Peng Zhihui are all born in the 1990s. Their scientific and technological innovations cover cutting-edge fields such as large-scale models, embodied intelligence, healthcare, and chips, collectively forming the backbone of China's artificial intelligence industry.
