While actual use of foreign capital decreased by 23.3% year-on-year, its share of the national total increased from 43.9% in 2023 to 46.3% in 2024. Significant progress was made in the construction of a world-class port cluster, with the region's coastal ports handling over 3 billion tons of cargo, accounting for 27.2% of the national total. The China International Import Expo (CIIE) continued to play its role as a high-level platform for openness, with intended transactions exceeding US$80 billion at the 7th CIIE in 2024.

Deepening the convenience and sharing of public services has led to continuous improvement in people's well-being. The Yangtze River Delta region's public welfare sharing index has steadily increased, averaging 3.1% annually compared to 2018. In 2024, the region's per capita disposable income reached 57,137 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.2% year-on-year; per capita public fiscal expenditure reached 19,600 yuan, 1.3 times that of 2018. Medical service levels have been continuously improved, and public services have become more convenient and shared.
